Hello ~ My name is Denise Bartley and I am an Neuromuscular Massage Therapist and have been in Professional Practice doing Bodyworker since 1996. I have been lucky enough to work with some exceptional people in the field and personally have extensive healing arts training and over 15,000 hours of Hands-On experience in Integrative Bodywork. The blend I use in my practice comes from: Neuromuscular Therapy, Thai Massage, Sports/Athletic Bodywork, Swedish (lighter touch), Deep Tissue, Myofascial Release/Trigger Point, Prenatal, Hot Stone, and Salt Scrub/Seaweed wraps for wellness. Each treatment is tailored to fit the individual.

My career has been a progression because of my training, the focus at the beginning of my career is compeletly different from my current practice. Protocols include working with :

Carpel Tunnel, Plantar Fasitis, Rotator Cuff/Shoulder problems, Back/Leg issues.

OFFERINGS First time clients will recieve a 2-for-1 introduction price with me.  Returning clients will recieve $5 off their next treatment when an appointment is scheduled within 30 days of last treatment.

30 min. ~ $35 (Focus on specific area(s))

• 60 min. ~ $55 (Relaxation/no specific work)
• 60 min. ~ $65 (Deep Tissue/Specific work in area of concern)

• 90 min. ~ $80 (Signature Integrative Massage/Bodywork)
• 90 min. ~ $90 for In-Home visits within Oakland County
• 90 min. ~ $80 for Thai Massage/Assisted Movement Therapy

Massage Therapy That Works operates on an Appointment-Only basis Tuesday through Saturday. To schedule an appointment please call or email (see contact tab) with your desired day/time. Arriving late will limit the time of your treatment and the treatment will end on time so that the next client is not delayed.

To avoid a cancellation fee ($20) all appointments must be canceled or rescheduled 24 hours in advance, no exceptions. Only cash or check are accepted.

Available for "group" events e.g. sports events, business functions, parties, fundraisers etc.

Environment is Important: A safe quiet environment is provided when receiving a treatment with me.  I believe in nurturing the mind/body/spirit helping to promote an atmosphere where an individual has the opportunity to reach a goal of good health.  Having said this, part of my vision is to grow in our community with the intent of offering skills, tools, and information rooted in promoting a healthy lifestyle.  These interventions include evidence-based approaches that support balance in all different realms of wellness.

I love the work I do.  As I continue to pursue education and acquire knowledge in evidence-based approach's to mind/body therapies, I am able to expand the scope of my private practice within a larger community.  It is truly exciting for me to bring my experience and share my work with others.  I look forward to meeting and working with you.
